What is Mindfulness meditation?

 

Meditation is the process of understanding our mind, familiarising ourselves with our mind and training our mind. Our mind is usually focused outwards towards the sensory world, meditation is the process of turning our mind inwards. Mindfulness is a form of meditation that helps us to bring awareness to the present moment, to our inner experience, to our thoughts, feelings and emotions. We live in an age of easy, accessible knowledge - however, we can’t train our minds through reading or studying, that will only give us an understanding of how the mind works.
